Announcing that teachers’ recruitment in government-run universities and aided colleges will restart soon, the Shiv Sena leader said the high power committee (HPC) had already granted its approval for it. “When the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government took over the reins under Thackeray, the first thing we had started was filling up 4,074 teaching posts. We had even appointed 1,100-1,200 of them, but it was later stopped due to the pandemic. Just four days back, HPC had a meeting with the CM and deputy CM Ajit Pawar where they granted a nod to fill up the remaining posts.”
Deliberating on Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) for admissions to engineering, pharmacy and other professional courses, Samant reiterated that it would be conducted in July last week or August first week. The State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET) has released an application form for the aspirants on its website mhtcet2021.mahacet.org and students could apply till July 7.
